Ira Glovinsky is a licensed psychologist who specializes in mood disorders and autism spectrum disorders. He has published research on pediatric bipolar disorder and on the history of bipolar disorder. He has written two books with Dr. Stanley Greenspan, “Bipolar Patterns in Children” published in 2002 and “Moodswings in Children” published in 2007.
Dr. Glovinsky is Co-Clinical Director of The Village Education Center, a therapeutic preschool and kindergarten in Berkley, Michigan. He is one of two people in Michigan to be certified in DIR training, a model for working with children with autism spectrum disorder. He is Associate Editor of the Journal of Developmental Processes. He is also Chairman of the Child and Family Committee for the Michigan Psychological Association.
Dr. Glovinsky founded and collaborates in the Mood Disorder Program at the Interdisciplinary Center for the Family. He is currently participating in research on very early onset bipolar disorder and severe emotional dysregulation in preschool age children. |
