Jennifer DeSchryver is a licensed clinical psychologist and infant mental health mentor. She has worked with children and their families in various settings, including outpatient, residential, in-home and school-based programs. She completed her doctorate in clinical psychology with a concentration in child and adolescent psychotherapy at the California Institute of Integral Studies in San Francisco, California. She received additional training at the University of California San Francisco’s Infant Parent Program and has earned a Level IV endorsement from the Michigan Association for Infant Mental Health.
Dr. DeSchryver provides psychotherapy and psychological evaluations for infants, toddlers, young children and their parents. Her clinical practice includes working with children who have experienced neglect, abuse, and other trauma. She has a specialized interest in working with parents and young children with attachment difficulties, including families with children who have been adopted internationally from institutions and domestically through foster care.
Dr. DeSchryver also provides consultation and supervision to professionals and agencies in the community and has presented on the topics of parent-child psychotherapy, attachment, and infant mental health. She is a current at-large board member of MI-AIMH and the editor of The Infant Crier, a quarterly publication of MI-AIMH.. |
