Clients and their families are given questionnaires to assess mood changes over time and how symptoms and life stressors impact daily functioning. Children under age seven are joined by their parents in a videotaped, unstructured play session to assess social and emotional interactions.

Each child, adolescent or adult is then tested to assess cognitive strengths and weaknesses. Following this, a clinical conference takes place to determine if further testing, questionnaires or interviews are needed. We then review all material to make diagnostic statements and recommendations for a treatment plan which may include: individual psychotherapy, dyadic parent-child relationship work, parent guidance, school support, family therapy, group therapy, parent support groups and psychoeducational programs.
