Valerie Timko, MS, LLP, PC Limited Licensed Psychologist-Masters West Bloomfield 734.788.3233 Valerie Timko graduated from Madonna University in 2004. Prior to her graduation, she completed a year long practicum under Ira Glovinsky, Ph.D at the Interdisciplinary Center for the Family. She is currently a therapist who specializes in play therapy utilizing a psychodynamic approach. Mrs. Timko is enthusiastic and driven to help families that have children and adolescents who suffer from mood regulation difficulties. She is currently an active member in the Mood Disorder Program, West Bloomfield. Mrs. Timko has worked with both children and adolescents as a manager and therapist for non-profit agencies funded by state and local governments. She has a passion for understanding and working with parents, and in turn has facilitated parent guidance sessions and parent support groups. Mrs. Timko has run many educational and therapeutic groups for both children and adolescents. In addition, she performs comprehensive psychological assessments, including intelligence screenings for local gifted schools.
